La Liberté patronne des Français, France, circa 1790 A large, folded revolutionary fan, with a double sheet of engraved paper enhanced in color. On a blue background dotted with medallions evoking intaglios, a central cartel features revolutionaries, peasants and soldiers, paying homage to Liberty perched on a pedestal, wearing a lictor beam surmounted by a Phrygian cap, and holding an egalitarian triangle. Green paper reverse. Wooden frame. Varnished plumes. H.t. 40 cm-H.f. 20 cm (good condition, wear)
