The conquests of Mons, Mainz and Antwerp, France circa 1792-1793 Large folded fan, revolutionary, the double sheet in engraved paper enhanced in color. On a green background decorated with gilded garlands, three cartels illustrate "Les conquêtes de la République française" (The conquests of the French Republic), including on the left: "L'entrée du général Lamortière/le 29 novembre 1792/dans la citadelle d'Anvers" (The entry of General Lamortière/November 29, 1792/in the citadel of Antwerp). Center: "Mons pris le 6 novembre 1792/ par le général Dumourier (sic)" (Mons taken on November 6, 1792/ by General Dumourier (sic)), framed by cannon barrels, flags and a Phrygian cap. Right: "Prise de Mayence par le / général Gustinele 22 /octobre 1792". Old collector's labels on the strands bearing the number "75", and "Monsieur Baudon(?)". Dull beige paper reverse. Varnished wood frame. H.t. 40.4 cm-H.f. 20.3 cm (wear, cuts, accident to one strand)
