Large folded fan, double leaf in engraved paper, enhanced with gouache. On a chevron background, in the center, an Indian sovereign on a throne receives a European embassy.
On the sides, two scenes from Cervantes' famous novel Don Quixote, based on illustrations by Charles Coypel (1694-1752).
Reverse: a Chinese servant at the foot of an elegant woman under her parasol in an architectural garden.
Wooden mounting without decoration.
