Black mother-of-pearl lace, Europe, circa 1870-1880 Folded fan, leaf in fine black bobbin lace, decorated with three cartels featuring bouquets of flowers. Silk reverse. Cut-out, engraved white mother-of-pearl frame adorned with contrasting black mother-of-pearl fleurons and interlacing on the throat and plumes. Height 28 cm (restorations on one strand and one plume)
