FRENCH EMPIRE Carte orographique, hydrographique et routière de l'Empire français, comprenant le Bassin du Rhin et la région des Alpes occidentales, d'après les Etats-majors français et étrangers dédiée et présentée à S.M. l'Empereur. Carte d'assemblage n°9 en quarante feuilles published by E. Andriveau-Goujon, 21 rue du bac, Paris, 1865. Imp. Alfred Chardon Jeune. 118.5 x 132 cm. Wrapped in cloth (stains on back). On the back, a label "E. Andriveau-Goujon" and the inscription 1865. In its green and yellow marbled paper slipcase, the spine adorned with a red title-piece featuring "EMPIRE FRANCAIS" in gold lettering. Tears and missing parts.
