A pair of candelabras, with three arms and four silver-plated lights on a chased and embossed silver base, and tapered shafts decorated with fluting, water-leaf friezes and flowers. The circular base decorated with water leaves bears the inscription HERBET on the rim. Import hallmark on the legs: oak leaf. Louis XVI style, Late 18th century H. 44.5 cm - Gross weight: 4.542 gr With its glass bobèches The import hallmark corresponds to the one affixed in Seurre (Côte-d'Or) from 1768 to 1774 under the régie of Fermier général Julien Alaterre to mark precious metal articles from foreign countries or provinces deemed foreign in relation to the Régie: Alsace Lorraine Flandre Hainaut/Franche-Comté Roussillon et Béarn.
