Ivan Petrovich KHLEBNIKOV (1817 - 1881) Cigar case. Moscow, 1881. Silver with engraved and nielloed decoration. The lid is decorated with a view of the Holy Savior Tower in the Moscow Kremlin, framed by foliage, all nielloed. On the back, in the same frame, a cartouche of scrolls with a tormented edge and a round reserve bearing a monogram in Gothic letters "FS". Gilt interior. Hallmarks: 84; Moscow 1881, assayer "А-К" (Alexander Stakheevich Kudrin) and silversmith "ХЛѢБНИКОВЪ" (Khlebnikov) under the eagle of supplier to the Court. 12.3 x 6.5 x 3 cm; Gross weight: 186g Probably one of the last pieces produced during the lifetime of the firm's founder, Ivan Petrovitch, who died on May 8, 1881.
