ALBUM of 70 leaves measuring 24 x 185 mm, 18th-century marbled calf, very worn, edges open, headpieces torn off, spine very rubbed. Charming collection of watercolors of flowers presented alone or in bouquets, accompanied by insects, butterflies or birds, and captions in ink in French. Of these bouquets, 12 are particularly noteworthy, presented in differently and skilfully decorated vases and set on marble pedestals. Following this, 4 pages show views of castles in a landscape (2 views, one above the other), 2 in sanguine, 4 in color, 2 in black, then a full-page view depicting Saint Gamelbertur (a Bavarian saint in his hermitage), and finally a very pretty full-page composition peach of the day depicting several figures including a man and a woman fishing in a lake setting with antique architecture.
