Amsterdam, Schneider, 1765. 2 volumes in one in-12, marbled basane, ornate spine, red title page, marbled edges (Binding of the period). Goldsmiths, n°10061. - INED, n°352 (for the 1791 edition). Second edition, published after the original given in Berlin a year earlier. After giving a definition of the State, Beausobre (1730-1790), Royal Councillor and member of the Berlin Academy, discusses agriculture in general, with information on the cultivation of vines, tobacco, cotton, wood, saffron, sugar, fruit, etc. The second volume, in continuous pagination, contains numerous details on the American colonies and trade with Africa, Asia, the Levant and China. Handwritten ex-libris on the titles: Henchoz. Some foxing, small split consolidated in the margin of the two foreword leaves. Lack at lower head.
