GRÉGOIRE. Report on bibliography. Séance du 22 germinal, l'An II de la République une et indivisible. Paris, Imprimerie nationale, s.d. [1794]. 16-page in-8 booklet, unbound. Grégoire reports to the Comité d'Instruction Publique on the census of books belonging to the Nation from castles, and on the suppression of ecclesiastical, judicial and academic guilds. In libraries, a host of books have been sold at low prices, by weight, while elsewhere they have been squandered. Select libraries and museums are, in a way, the workshops of the human mind (Monglond, III, 163). We enclose another edition of the same date from the Imprimerie de Quiber-Pallissaux, in-8, 15-page booklet, stapled - n°203 of the Gazette nationale, or Moniteur universel, dated April 12, 1794, in sheets, which reproduces the text of the report.
