Pau, Vignancour, 1831 [Pau, Éditions du Gave, 2001]. 3 volumes small in-4, brown half calf with corners, spine decorated, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine, case (J. M. Durand). Facsimile reprint of the extremely rare original edition of Laussat's Mémoires (1831), with portrait and facsimile documents. Edition of 530 copies, this one of 30 on strong Yearling vellum, enriched with a printed document on the engraved letterhead of the Colonial Prefecture, dated New Orleans, Frimaire 8, Year XII, and signed by Colonial Prefect Laussat. A very fine, perfectly bound copy.
