Émile GALLE (1846 - 1904) Spherical ceramic vase with shouldered body, open neck and silver-belted heel, decorated with foliage on the foot. Butterflies on a floral background, inscribed in the decoration: "With her wings, the alpine nemophilia / Makes corollas on the plantain without sparkle". Natural polychrome enamels enhanced with gilding on a greenish background. Signed. Height: 17 cm oxidation to mount History: a similar model is preserved in the collections of the Musée de l'École de Nancy under n°GC82.3.
