Palace scenes, China, 19th century Folded fan, the double sheet of paper painted on one side on a green background, and the other on a silver background, with palace scenes. Each scene features 40 characters. All wear silk garments and heads in relief. Mounted in black lacquered bamboo, with gold decorations of literati in gardens. Metal hanger. H.t. 28 cm (wear, accidents, restorations) In its original box with gold lacquered decoration on a black background.
